INSTRUCTOR: Designer Joi, Designer Joi’s Sewing Factory
DESCRIPTION: A sentimental quilt class taught by Designer Joi based on her upcoming quilt book.
This two day quilting class with take you on a sewing journey and legacy. Designer Joi created her first quilt when she was in 6th grade as part of a 4-H project making quilts for drug addicted babies. She was inspired to sew by her grandmother and inherited her grandmother’s sewing stash, vintage notions, sewing machine and patterns a few years ago, but the treasure of finding a 1950’s quilting project made by a group of her relatives really inspired her to quilt. Come learn the history of this quilt pattern, hear Joi’s stories of sewing at the farm, learning a new quilt design, learn sewing techniques, make a quilt topper in fabrics of your choice using modern tools including your own Sizzix cutter.
Class is limited to 25 students so register early. Lunch include. Sizzix cutter included. Machines provided by Baby Lock. FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS.
